Just a quick question- I haven’t blogged for about 2 years. It seems the blogosphere has changed drastically? Fewer people blogging. Fewer likes on accounts and a lot less followers? What has happened? I can understand that I might have less of all of the above, but all the blogs I read and look at, has 1 or 2 likes, and very few followers.

I hope some of you will be willing to respond to me.

About zelmare

Hallo to you from the southern most part of the African continent - South Africa!! To put my life in a nutshell : I raised 3 absolutely fabulous kids (I'm sure you will hear a lot about them, since I am a very proud mama), I became a doting grandmother two years ago and recently bought a house in the Western Cape, and in doing so, realized a dream I've had for many, many years. I love traveling, which I don't do often enough. I love living a simple life - cooking, gardening, knitting and of course, blogging. There is still a lot I want to do and see in my lifetime, but time will tell how much of that I can actually accomplish. I am looking forward to meeting a lot of lovely new friends and interesting people here on WordPress! :)

  1. I don’t know what to tell you because I haven’t blogged in years either. I found it was taking up too much of my time and making me feel stressed LOL. However, I still love reading other people’s blogs, but sometimes I’m not able to “like” them for some reason.

    • Thanks. I’ll see how it goes. When I stopped last time, I had around 120 followers, but I see most of them are not blogging anymore. I do blog for myself, but honestly, I do also write for other people to read and comment, I like the ‘conversation’ part of it…

  2. Yes, I agree with you Zelmare! However, we will have to be positive and try to build it up again and encourage others by liking their posts and following them. Hmm! Think that’s what I did last time! 😂

  3. I havent blogged in ya-urs!!!! But I recall it was A LOT of work to build up the likes and followers!!! The more you post, the more people see your posts… and then if you continue it builds from there… time, patience and a lot of dedicated hard work!!
