You know how some people in UK and other northern countries escape their winters by going to Spain?
Well I want to do the exact opposite. I want to flee from our summer to colder climes, somewhere where there are lots of snow, and I can wear coats and boots and scarves. (I can think of one place where I’d like to be right now, more than any other place on earth…) The temperature here at the moment is 39° C, and I for one do not find that very amusing – quite the opposite, in fact.
Since childhood I’ve had a low tolerance for heat, and that has never changed. I think the stork got confused when he had to deliver me, and dropped me off in the wrong spot, to be honest.
Fortunately my house is very old and has super thick walls, which helps the inside to stay cooler. Unfortunately if you stay inside to escape the heat, you still feel the heat, and I don’t have an AC.
So, today I am hiding from the heat – if you are looking for me, I’ll be over here, right in front of the fan, as far away from outside as I can get…
